El Grande Cookoff

Family Event in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato

The El Grande Cookoff, the first of its kind in Mexico, pits the top BBQ teams in Mexico in a head-to-head competition for best brisket, sausage, ribs, "open" category, beans and Texas-style chili. Local restaurants and BBQ aficionados alike will be competing in the event. The program for the day includes music, supervised children's activities and Team Sorting, an exciting timed competition on horseback.

 

Proceeds from the event benefit the thousands of Mexican children and families served by the local charities Feed the Hungry and Patronato Pro Niños.

Cooking BBQ competition, horse riding competition, kiddo petting zoo, bands playing, and lots of food. In the evening there will be fireworks, dancing and more food!
